Rhinebeck, New York – The only child of former US President Bill Clinton and current US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has married in the small New York village of Rhinebeck. Chelsea Clinton married investment banker Marc Mezvinsky in a lavish but relatively private ceremony in Astor Courts, an estate on the Hudson River.

While there were 400 guests, there were not as many A-listers as might have been expected. Celebrity guests included former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, fashion designer Vera Wang and acting couple Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen.
In a statement, Bill and Hillary Clinton said, “Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family.”
To the town of Rhinebeck, the statement said, “On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day.”

The 30 year old Chelsea Clinton and 32 year old Marc Mezvinsky have known each other since they were teenagers.
